The Department of Classics at Brock University and the Niagara Peninsula Chapter of the Archaeological Institute of America host monthly lectures on the ancient world that are free and open to the public. Among the diverse presentations in this year's program, the following may be of particular interest: Professor Jodi Magness of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will speak on "The Archaeology of Qumram and the Dead Sea Scrolls" on November 9 at 3 p.m. (in Academic South 215 on the Brock campus).
